Questions

How do I measure a floor plan that has no dimensions?

Trace something you know the length of, such as the plan's scale bar or a wall, and enter its real length. Every line you draw after that is measured to the same scale.

Can I measure a PDF floor plan?

Yes. Open the PDF, pick the page with your floor plan, and measure it just like an image. Architect drawings, estate agent floor plans and screenshots all work.

Can I work out the area of a room?

Yes. Tap around the corners of the room, then tap the first point again (or press Area). You get the area in m² and ft², plus the perimeter.

Metres or feet?

Both. Switch between metric and imperial at any time, and open All units to see metres, centimetres, millimetres, feet and inches, yards, m², ft² and yd².

Are my plans uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Plans and measurements are saved only on your own device so you can pick up where you left off.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Pinch to zoom, drag to pan, and a magnifier appears while you adjust a point so you can place it precisely.

How long is that line?

Enter the real-world length of what you just traced — the scale bar value or the wall length.
